Are You a Good Candidate for Porcelain Veneers?
Good candidates for porcelain veneers are typically looking to address multiple cosmetic issues in a short amount of time. You'll also be a better candidate for veneers if you have:
Mild Misalignment Only
Veneers can conceal minor gaps and misalignment, but they aren't suited for more complex cases. If your teeth are moderately or seriously misaligned, orthodontic correction should come before veneers. Our dentists can speak with you about treatment with traditional braces or Invisalign.
Sufficient Enamel
A small amount of enamel typically has to be removed from your teeth before you can receive porcelain veneers. If your enamel is too thin or worn for this treatment, an alternative like minimal-prep veneers or dental bonding may be a better choice to give you the cosmetic results you're looking for.
